PICTURE OF THE DAY Photographs of offshore support vessels in action in many parts of the world.

Every now and again I make small changes and this one is an extension of my fairly new policy, to put some sort of panoramic photo on the Index page. Many people won't even see the Index page since they will be introduced to the site somewhere in the content, but any way I include the February 2010 Index page photo here. Many of the photos I have been using are of Aberdeen Harbour. After all, I spent years working right next to it. Here is the entrance being dominated by a particularly threatening cloud formation. The grey thing coming in is the Customs launch - purposeful eh! - and if you look closely there is a very small drilling rig near the entrance to starboard. It was reputed to have been checking the seabed for a possible harbour extension.
