A welcome contribution from Mermaid a major Australian support vessel operator. This is the Mermaid Vigilance, a new 70 metre DP2 PSV designed by Focal Marine and built in China. Since January this year it has been used for OBC cable laying in relation to seismic operations in West Papua. (OBC? On bottom cable laying). It is a seismic activity which allows those with an interest in these things to view the changes in reservoirs over time. |
