ACERGY

The company now known as Acergy was formed by Stolt Nielsen in 1970 as a provider of diving services. In later years it acquired its competitor Comex and then the offshore construction and pipeline installer ETPM. For a while it was known as Stolt Comex Seaway. The ships were painted yellow and were called "Seaway" something.

In 2006 it changed its name to "Acergy", this following the listing of the company on the Oslo stock exchange.

This is the first company to be listed here which only owns construction vessels of one sort or another, so the format is a bit flexible and the information provided variable. Company owned and chartered vessels are included so some may also appear on the pages devoted to other ship-owners.

A while ago I received an email form someone complaining that I had included Acergy in the website, but had not included Subsea 7. This problem has now been solved because Subsea 7 have combined with Acergy, and all is now known as Subsea 7.

There will therefore be no more additions to this page.
