EDISON CHOUEST

Edison Chouest are a major operator in the Gulf of Mexico. They started from small beginnings in the 1960s and by the middle of the 1980s operated about 10 small supply vessels. However by the end of the 1990s the company had expended and were showing signs of becoming the force they are today. The earlier ships were disposed of and a building programme started mainly at North American Shipbuilding Inc at Larose who turned out large numbers of platform ships and anchor-handlers. The company maintain a degree of secrecy, only releasing full details of their ships to their clients. As a result we can only publish limited information. Many of the ships identified here are actually operating in South American waters, but we have not chosen to divide the fleet. There is little enough information availabe to us anyway.

Where ship details are included they are always a guess, since ECO do not release any information.
