HARVEY GULF INTERNATIONAL

Harvey Gulf International is a traditional family owned American towing company, or alt least they used to be until the majority shareholding was acquired by a New York private equity firm. Never-the-less today most of the senior positions are held by members of the Guidry family, descendants of Captain Numa J Guidry who started up the company in 1955.

Until recently the company restricted its operations to traditional towing activities. However in 2003 the company ventured into the field of offshore vessels, and hence the reason for its inclusion here.
