MARITIME CONSORTIUM OF THESSALONIKI
The company owns a variety of marine craft, including launches, harbour tugs, salvage vessels and lately a single ME 303, causing it to be included on this site. The owner of the company Mr Nikolaos Zouros started his working life as a deckhand on board a tug in the port of Thessaloniki, but he was ambitious. He went on to join a shipping agency and having learnt the ropes started up his own. Later he purchased the tug on which he had served. One can only admire such enterprise and hope that the Amazon Chieftain serves him well.

In November 2011 it appears that the company still only owns one offshore vessel, although the number of tugs seems to have increased. And at the 2013 review MCT is billed as part of the "Zouros group of companies" and the Amazon Chieftain has the word Zouros painted on the side. But it remains the only offshore vessel.
