SIMON MØKSTER

This company appears to have expanded from its base as an operator of standby vessels, all of them converted from old supply vessels, to an operator of modern anchor-handlers. Like a number of Norwegian shipping companies Simon Møkster seem to have taken advantage of the boom time of the early part of the 21st century, which apart from anything else made banks and investment companies enthusiastic about lending large sums of money to both ship-owners and shipyards.

At the 2010 review one can see that the company have disposed of the majority of its non-offshore vessel standby boats, including one built in 1927.

At the 2012 review the number of platform ships has increased, possibly as the global requirement for European support vessels has increased. 12/4/12
