UT714 |
FIELD
EXPRESS |
BUILT:
1983/4 |
 |
Photo: Crewmember of Transocean Nordic Several people have sent us details about this fine
craft. It is a UT 714 built in the Jiangnan Shipyard in 1983 or 1984 (Opinions differ)
originally as the Normand Sky for Solstad. It was formerly owned by the Dutch Company
Vroon but is now under the control of a joint venture between that company and Telco.
The UT714 was a variant of the UT704, dimensionally and
mechanically slightly smaller. They were built for operation in the more benign areas of
the world and featured strongly in India. |
