VIKING SUPPLY SHIPS

This company was set up by B&N a Swedish Company and Viking, a Norwegian Company to build and market three sisterships as icebreakers and support vessels. They are intended to break ice in the winter and handle anchors in the summer. 

We are going to update this site into the new format if B&N Viking build any more ships. No sign so far.

The company took on the AH San Fruttuoso in Dec 2004 with an option to purchase in March 2006. This ship became Odin Viking

As of February 2007 B&N Viking had become Viking Supply Ships, but we are not quite sure when. However they had also spawned an offshore company "Trans Viking" which has ordered a ship.

In November 2006 SBS became a subsidiary of Viking Supply Ships, but we will keep then separate until they appear in stripes.

In late 2010 a Swedish shipping company called "TransAtlantic" acquired all the shares in Trans Viking, but the commercial name of the offshore company appears to remain as "Viking Supply Ships", so that's what we will continue to call them.
