The Tidewater VS 480 Damon
B Bankston photographed by Oddgeir Refvik in 2003, and
briefly famous now, since it was backloading mud from
the Deepwater Horizon on 20th April when the blowout
occurred. It subsequently took on board all those who
survived the accident and took then back to Port Fouchon.
For those unfamiliar with the drilling process I have
written about it in the "Features" section of this
website.
