The ship on which one of our regular
contributors, Tony Poll, is serving has recently
been involved in anchor-handling related to the
installation of the deck on the FPSO P-56 in the
port of Angra in Brazil. Here it is completed
and ready to be towed out there and located in
deep water off the coast of the country. He sent
a whole series of photos before the mating of
the deck with the hull, and afterwards. But this
is the best of the bunch, relating the object to
the environment. It almost makes you want to be
there.
