Something from the Shetland Islands. This is the brand new Skandi Skansen, photographed by Alexander Simpson, the Assist Harbourmaster at what they bill as Britain's "Top Port", Lerwick. Well it is, isn't it? This is an anchor-handler, an STX AH 04, featuring what DOF describe as STX's new bow design "Optimised for Eco-drive". The DOF PDF is so elaborate that I had to go to my own data to find out a few simple facts. And, by the way, the photo shows that it is sometimes nice weather in Lerwick. |
