PICTURE OF THE DAY 2012

Photographs of offshore support vessels in action in many parts of the world. 

The GSP Saturn, a four legged jack-up being towed into Ijmuiden by the venerable Temest and its modern clone the Centaurus in the middle of April. The photo was taken by Jan Plug, who not only captures the marine scene when at work, but gets down to the waterfront in Ijmuiden when on leave. As I have often said, he could keep Picture of the Day going on his own.
