Here is the Putford Saviour going about its business at the Conoco Loggs platform in the southern North Sea. Like many other ERRVs in the area this ship doubles as a cargo carrier, and because most of the fleet are old or simple vessels, or sometimes old and simple vessels, they are mostly not fitted with any form of DP system. Yes chaps, their masters have to learn how to drive, rather that relying on electronic aides. Picture taken by Scott Vardy the other day and posted here on 23rd September 2012. |
