Here is the platform ship Volstad Viking on the edge of the Aberdeen anchorage. This is the spot which, if there had been no protests from interested parties, would have now featured a whole load of wind turbines. It is the only anchorage between Montrose and Fraserburgh. You can see the Murcar Links Golf Club in the distance - revealing the origin of the words "Golf Links" - the bits of useless land linking the farms to the sea. And it is a sunny day.
