OCEANOGRAFIA SA

Oceanografia are apparently (I only discovered them because someone had taken a photo of one of their ships) a large Mexican company operating construction vessels and platform ships. Their fleet list seems to include vessels which might actually, in our view, belong to others. Hence the question remains as to whether they have chartered these ships, bareboated them or purchased them but not bothered to change the names.

They operate out of the marine centre of the Mexican part of the Gulf of Mexico, Cuidad de Carmen. There are details on their website of only a few of the ships, but lots of video of one or two of them at work. We will return to this company when we have more time, or when there are actually more ship detail available without the need to translate lots of words from Spanish and carry out a lot of research.

At the latest view even more ships on their list, some definitely belonging to others. One or two possibly being theirs. Perhaps they are shipowners and agents.
