GULFMARK
TRINIDAD
|
GulfMark are
constantly extending their operations, having
started apparently as a small company operating
four ships out of Aberdeen, with American money.
They now operate in the Gulf of Mexico, the
Caribbean and South America, UK and Norway.
Fortunately for we
ship spotters Gulf have divided up their fleet
into areas, so we can tell which ships are
working where. It should be noted that this
section includes four what Gulf call "Fast
Supply Vessels", which seem to be halfway
between a crew boat and a PSV.
It appears that
since May 2011 work has dropped off in the
Trinidad area and a number of platform ships
have been repatriated to the United States.
There also may have been the disposal of two
large crew boats which are listed here in
Disposals.

At the time of the
2015 review there had been one ship added to the
local fleet. Doubtless there are a number of
ships being built for the company but at the
present one cannot say exactly to where they
will be assigned.

Space for 80 passengers. This
vessel is no longer on the Gulf fleet list, so it is assumed to
have been disposed of. However this is not certain. |
