OTTO CANDIES

Otto Candies is one of the oldest offshore support vessel owners in the world. According to their website Captain Otto B Candies was asked to support the oil exploration activities of the Humble Oil Company, in the Louisiana Bayous, with the provision of small craft in 1942. As the task has got bigger so have the ships provided by the company and it now owns more than 40 vessels of various sorts.

In this presentation we have only considered offshore support vessels. Both we, and Otto Candies have been inconsistent in the use of metric, imperial and US measurements, but hopefully those who need to know will be able to interpret the information.

Part of the Otto Candies fleet is operating in South American waters but no distinction is made here.

Since the last update there appear to have been a couple of additions to the fleet and at least one sale.

At the 2015 update it could be seen that a couple of ships had been sold and two new diving ships had entered service, and well as one large PSV.
