Eide are a well known
Norwegian company who have in the past dealt mainly in
good quality second hand equipment. They have over the
years purchased two former OSA vessels one anchor-
handler and one platform ship and have rebuilt them. One
The anchor-handler was renamed Sun Wrestler, and under
that name it was managed by Acomarit, and then as
Stateman by United Towing. The Platform ship was called
the Sun Prince, and was soon purchased by Gulf.
Today (2009) the
anchor-handler has been renamed Eide Wrestler and makes
up a set with a submersible barge. Since then Eide have
purchased two further second hand anchor-handlers, one
of them being the former Smit-Lloyd 115. At present we
don't have any further details or photos - but the
tables have been inserted awaiting more information.
In 2013 there had been no
further changes to the fleet, nor apparently have there
been further changes to the relevant offshore fleet at
the 2014 review.
At the 2015 review there have
been no changes to the company - sensibly we would now
say!
