| Comments | This vessel
may be the only remaining example of the original Maersk B class. It
has had a chequered career since being purchased by Marine Carrier,
including being captured by pirates in Nigeria. It was claimed by
one of our contributors to have been purchased off the scrap heap. This ship no longer exists on the company website, but on the other hand one of the many ship tracking sites indicates that it is in Nigeria. We could therefore surmise that it has been sold to a Nigerian company but that they have not changed the name. |
