Opielok Reedereio
is wholly owned by Christopher Opielok who was
at one time a ship master and who subsequently
worked in a shipping office in Singapore before
taking the plunge and becoming a ship-owner
himself in 1998. The company developed as an
operator of small bulk carrier and container
ships. The company recently, in the full tide of
the offshore expansion, determined to enter the
sector and ordered five UT755s of which one has
been delivered.
The one ship is
managed by ER Schiffahrt.
Now, in 2012 it
seems that the OOC Cougar has been transferred
to Australia where it has become the "Go
Cougar". It may appear again as the Go Cougar
therefore.
At the time of
writing in February 2011 the fleet has gained
two platform ships with a further two due soon -
so it seems.
at the 2013 review
the fleet was composed of five vessels, with no
further ships on order. The OOC Cougar has been
left here event though it is probably at least
temporarily Go Cougar, and it is possible that
other ships from the fleet have migrated to
Australia
At the time of the
2014 review there had been no changes to the
fleet.
