Rovde Shipping no
longer exists, but over time it is hoped that
history will be included on the site as well as
current information. Rovde Shipping was
instituted in the mid 1980s and takes its name
from a town in Norway . In 2005 it was
purchased by Siem, itself a spin-off from Subsea
7 and was renamed Siem Rovde. At that time it
appears that it owned two platform ships and
four standby vessels. Although a number of
vessels which it has owned at some time have
been identified, mainly second hand tonnage only
one ship, the UT 745 Ocean Commander is included
here.
