Geoships are a
small British company with headquarters in
Westhill close to Aberdeen, and according to
their website further offices in Singapore and
Australia. They have one IMR ship, one
bareboated transport ship and two ships on
order.At
the 2013 review this is their first inclusion in
the Ships and Oil website, with the one ship
which fits our specs.
In 2014 Geoships
have not taken delivery of the two ships they
claimed to be building in 2012, and they do not
now appear on any builder's lists. The Loch Roag
can be found on the websites of two other
companies. It seems possible that Geoships are
no longer with us, or that they have become the
'Harkand Group'. But who knows.
At the 2015 review
these words appear on front page of Google,
always a bad sign. In addition the rest of the
news concerns projected newbuildings and
bareboat charters from other owners. But at last
- news. In May 2013 the ship was sold and has
become Go Electra, so Geoships are no more.
