Fairmount Mariine have been in existence in a variety of
guises since about 1980. The fleet has been updated during
the early years of the new century, and now the owners
consider themselves to be "the world leader in the field of
long distance towing".
They also own semi-submersible
barges, which are not detailed here. According to their
website the company was acquired by Louis Dreyfus Armateurs
of Paris in 2007, which is a French shipping company.
The fleet is fairly elusive,
mostly trogging across the ocean wastes towing stuff, so so
far only one has been captured by our eagle-eyed
photographers.
Since the last update this
company has been taken over by the Royal Boskalis
Westminster Group, but it seems that the fleet still
operates as an entity so the page remains. Also the fleet
has been photographed extensively by Gaetano Spiteri who
contributes images from Malta.
At the 2015 review it can be
seen that there have been no changes to this company. Well
done Fairmount I would say.
