Chernomornaftogaz,
is described as being "a leading company in the
Ukrainian energy sector", located in Crimea. It
does all sorts of offshore stuff, with the end
objective of supplying gas to Crimea and
Ukraine. In pursuit of this objective it owns a
number of ships, but we have only been able to
find details of two of them.
Since writing the
original script here, the Neftegaz 67 has been
sunk in a collision in Hong Kong with
considerable loss of life. The website for the
company says now that they own 22 vessels of
various sorts but no details are included.
At the 2013 update
the company seems to have more or less
disappeared from the internet although it may be
part of NJSC Neftegaz.
This company is, or
was, based in Crimea and therefore must in some
way have been involved in the return of Crimea
to Russia, and all the other stuff which is
still going on in Ukraine. There is nothing
worthwhile on the internet, except that back in
1978 this was a Russsian company. But since
there is nothing new to report this page remains
the same.
